Hi! I’m Aryn, a registered and certified Speech-Language Pathologist located in Victoria, BC. My nature has always been to find joy in supporting the growth of others, while my own magic lies in supporting connection through communication.
Over the last 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of providing early intervention programming for young learners through both community-based services and private practice. Yet, the majority of my career has been spent supporting diverse learners in the school setting. This has allowed me an opportunity to connect with more students through whole-classroom learning, with a particular focus on supporting children’s social-emotional learning.
I’m passionate about children’s communication development, supporting learning through play, and nurturing self-advocacy. I also have a particular affinity for connecting with autistic children as I believe we all have so much to learn from the way others view the world. You can find me on the Registry of Autism Providers (RASP) list in BC.
My personal guiding principle is that connection underlies everything we do; connection is the foundation for communication — to ourselves and to each other. I will be your personal cheerleader. I believe the key to change starts with ourselves, so be prepared to dive into some of your own personal work, with loving support of course! The goal is to not only support your child, but also empower your whole family and change the environment in order to flourish.
One of my greatest strengths is my creative mind, which I love to exercise both within and outside of my profession. I’m a children’s book co-author of two independently published stories: ‘Narwhal Makes a Sandwich’ and ‘Narwhal Gets Stuck’ (you can visit www.threehornunicorn.com to learn more about these resources!). I also love to express my creativity through photography and creating playful video learning content for children.
What nurtures my wild seed is to find a little bit of play in the everyday! Additionally, I love exploring nature and connecting with animals. Which means I can’t resist showing off my two adorable bunny companions, Bunbun and Donut, who are featured in many of my content videos.
